Introduction

This application note introduces the low-power modes available in the PSoC 4000 (CY8C40xx) family of devices and the techniques to reduce overall system power consumption. PSoC 4000 is a cost-optimized, entry-level PSoC 4 device that offers 32-bit performance at 8-bit prices, along with PSoC value-added features such as CapSense and programmable peripherals.
